District Leadership Conferences
What They Are
Each fall, NCASC hosts one-day District Leadership Conferences in three regions: Central, Eastern, and Western. These conferences are shorter, more focused than the state convention, giving student leaders and advisors closer-to-home access to leadership development.
When & Where
October 17, 2026: Western District Conference at Monroe High School
October 23, 2026: Eastern District Conference at Rocky Mount High School
October 24, 2026: Central District Conference at Hillside High School
What Happens There
Workshops, interactive breakout sessions, and hands-on leadership training with the goal of building skills, sparking new ideas, and connecting with peers from nearby schools.
Opportunities for students to bring back what they’ve learned to their councils.
A chance for advisors to collaborate, share best practices, and strengthen their ability to support student leaders.
Why It Matters
Accessibility: Schools don’t have to travel far. Students can grow close to home but still benefit from high-quality leadership training.
Community: Students meet peers from nearby schools, which builds connections and inspiration.
Preparation: These conferences act as stepping stones — preparing students and councils for larger events (like the state convention), giving them tools and confidence.
Momentum: Holding this each fall helps kick off the school year with energy, focus, and a sense of possibility.
